Abdel Rahman Al Tamimi is part time lecture at the Institute of Sustainable Development at Al Quds University. He obtains extensive experience and knowledge in the field of water resource management, and water governance , water policy, Institutional building and reform, and water resource planning.   During the last 25 years the majority of his activities were primarily focused on water resources and integrated rural development. Furthermore, Dr. Al Tamimi has participated in a number of international research projects and has a plethora of publications related to institutional building, empowerment and stakeholders dialogue- transboundary water conflict. He is the author of the book “Water Privatization and Regional Political Agenda”, and co author of the report“Mediterranean challenges  2030.”Nonetheless, he has served as a member in the Palestinian counterparts to the EC and the World Bank before the establishment of Palestinian authority, and as a consultant for a number of institutions whose primary work is on developing water and environmental projects in the Occupied Territories(UNDP,GTZ,EU, AFD, World Bank. Etc).Moreover, he is the resource person for climate change adaptation national strategy and a member of water sector strategy .  Dr. Abdel Rahman AL Tamimi, hasrecently been appointed as a member of the national reform committee, and the national committee for social agenda and poverty alleviation.
