Humanitarian action to improve the access to quality water for vulnerable herding communities from Area C, West Bank, Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT)

The project aims to contribute to mitigate the chronic lack of water and basic sanitation for 157 people (83 women and 74 men) from two herding communities: Al-Baqaa (Jerusalem governorate) and Maghayier Al-Dier (Ramallah governorate), which are both located within Area C in West Bank.

The project will address the needs of the communities by.

-    Rehabilitation of 2 existing Roman cisterns in Al-Baqaa for water storage
-    Rehabilitation of 2 existing Roman cisterns in Maghayier Al-Dier for water storage
-    Conduction of 1 training in one of the communities (with participants from both communities -Al-Baqaa and Maghayier Al-Dier-) for the maintenance, treatment and water management of the refurbished water installations. 20 participants, 10 men and 10 women.
