This project aims to increase the access to water resources and to ensure the livelihoods of 763 people (375 women and 388 men) from the village of 'Ein Qiniya, Governor of Ramallah, Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). In this way, it wants to contribute to the fulfillment of the Human Right to Water and Sanitation of these people, to the extent that clean water and sanitation are essential for the realization of all human rights. In addition, the project aims to collaborate with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal 6: Guarantee the availability of water and its sustainable management and sanitation for all.
For this, the intervention proposes the construction of a domestic gray water treatment plant, to increase access to water resources for agricultural use of 1 family. Once the project is completed, the beneficiary family will have water suitable for irrigation, protected from contamination, which will mean an improvement in health and hygiene conditions and livelihoods of the beneficiaries. In addition, the objective of the intervention is to install gray water treatment plants in all the houses that have gardens to irrigate, so it is not an isolated issue, so involves the entire community.
